Overview

Claude Code is Anthropic's agentic coding tool. It works across a whole project: reading code, editing many files, running commands and tests, resolving merge conflicts and writing commits and pull requests. It runs as a terminal CLI, in VS Code, Cursor and JetBrains, in a desktop app with parallel sessions, and on the web and mobile, where cloud sessions keep working on repos you don't have locally. It comes with Claude Pro and Max, and enterprises can run it through Amazon Bedrock, Google Cloud or Microsoft Foundry.

Enki verdict

The most capable coding agent for whole-project work, and it runs wherever you do; the catch is that it needs a paid Claude plan.
