Overview
Gemini is Google's assistant and the successor to Bard. Its strength is reach: it works inside Gmail, Docs, Sheets, and Drive, runs as the assistant on Android, and is built into Chrome. Deep Research produces cited reports, Gemini Live handles voice conversations, and Canvas and Gems cover drafting and custom assistants. It is available on the web, Android, iOS, and macOS; on Windows it runs in the browser. There is a free tier, and paid plans start at $4.99 a month.
