Overview
Udio, from Uncharted Labs, generates full songs with vocals from a text prompt and your lyrics, on the web and iOS. After settling with Universal Music Group in October 2025, it turned into a walled garden: downloads of audio, video and stems are disabled, and its terms bar commercial use of what you make. It has since signed licensing deals with Warner, Merlin and Kobalt, while Sony's lawsuit continues, and a licensed fan app called Starstruck has been announced without a launch date.
Enki verdict
Still a capable song generator for fun and sketching ideas, but with no downloads or commercial rights it isn't a production tool right now.
